My little brother got into outer space and stuff so my step-mom bought him a place mat with all the planets on it. When I first saw it, I was upset, because it was newer and so Pluto wasn’t labeled. I was about to say something when I noticed something…

Pluto is there.

The artist remembered Pluto.

Guys…

The artist drew Pluto crying.

Ahh, look at that sunny sky.
I knew sunshine existed in Manchester!
That’s your lot.

A few weeks ago i went along to the Kerrang! radio studio with a group of Envision grads as they research, wrote and recorded a podcast, on the Truth about Youth.

It was a great day, and the grads were amazing, the staff at Kerrang! were really impressed with their speed, personalities and professionalism.

You can listen to the finished podcast here

One of the grads who attended the day also wrote an article on her experience at Kerrang! where she used a few of the photographs I took

Who can spell Aberystwyth without google?Aparently, I can’t.On the way back from camping in Wales, my friends and I stopped off at Aberystwyth for an hour or so, to have some lunch and skim some pebbles (well, they skimmed, I took photos of them skimming!) There were some lovely natural shapes and forms along the coastline, these are my two favorites

Cardigan.

I went camping in Cardigan Bay a few weeks back with a couple of friends. On the second day, I got up ridiculously early (for some reason my phone decided to go foward an hour once I got to Wales!) so I sat and watched the sky for a little while, before my friends woke up.Here are two of the photographs I took, sitting on a camping stool, facing the Irish sea, with a sleeping bag wrapped around me and my camera poking out of my coat hood.

I’ve been working with a charity called Envision for the past few months on a placement, and I’ve loved it.

I’ve done a few photography jobs (which I wont post on here, because a lot of them are of the young people the charity works with, and I think it best if the photographs were used by the charity themselves :) ) gained a lot of experience in a few fields I wasn’t too confident with beforehand and I’ve picked up a lot of events planning experience, by helping out with the planning for their summer awards ceremony.

I’m coming towards the end of the placement, which I’m gutted about (I love it there and I’ll carry on volunteering there whenever I can!) so I’m looking to start a few more photography projects soon. Which means, many more pretty photographs should be comign your way soon!

So that’s a little update into the world of Kate.

From “A Series of Questions”, a project where the viewer is confronted with the inappropriate questions often asked of trans people. These new images —plus the ones which were already viewable online— are up at Weingarten’s site.

I done my photography degree dissertation on 6 photographs from this photoset last year. It’s great seeing new additions to the series!
